How to protect the attack of Ransomware or any other Virus
- Have security software installed and most importantly up to date with a current subscription. Remember with the thousands of new malware variants running every day, having a set of old virus definitions is almost as bad has having no protection.
- Make sure all the software on your system is up to date. This includes the operating system, the browser and all of the plug-ins that a modern browser typically uses.

- Make sure you use a good licensed antivirus software and not that free ones.

Removal of this Malware from the System
This malware can be removed by the following way:-
- Restart your computer in "Safe Mode with Networking". For enabling safe mode you have to press "F8" key continuously at the interval of 1 sec, after you restart your system, until a menu appears with several options in it. You have to select the "Safe Mode with Networking" option by navigating it with the down arrow.
- Press enter after selecting this option. Your computer will now boot in safe mode and you will gain access to default windows services.
- Open control panel and click on "Program and Features". Here a list of all software appears that are installed on your system. Identify malware in this list and uninstall it.And if you are unable to identify it then uninstall all the software which are not necessary or you think they are of no use.
- After uninstalling it, restart your system. See if your computer boots normally and you gain access to your files like before.
- If not, then second way to remove this malware is through antivirus software.
- In this procedure, you have to repeat the above first and second step.
- When your windows opens in "Safe Mode with Networking", Open your browser and search for free online antivirus scan,then perform free online scan of your computer, through McAfee, Bitdefender, Quickheal or any other good antivirus you trust.
